Good Friday

April 2nd, 2009

Thanks for bearing with us.

We have not disappeared.  Not yet.  We are simply waiting on the right time, and the right direction.

But still, we seem to have this one thing that is “us”; our Good Friday meal.

Please, feel most welcome to join us for our Good Friday meal…

“We meet on Good Friday for a casual reflection on the Easter message, breaking of bread and a meal of fish, bread and salads.

We’d like to welcome you and anyone you would like to bring to join us for this occasion.  There is no compulsion to bring anything, but if you wish to, you may bring some bread, salad, wine or juice.

Arrive somewhere around midday.  It will be held at Matt & Lou’s home, on Graham Street, Port Melbourne.

Anyone is welcome, but please contact us for an address if you have not joined us before.”

  1. Greetings and salutations from planet Kolob fellow emergents -

I was wanting to experience God in a new and exciting way so I tried the Ancient Art of Lectio Divina as promoted by Rob Bell.

I opened the Bible to Matthew 27:5 - “Judas hung himself” - as I meditated with a warm cup of Jarrah and chanted this over and over I had a strange sensation - it was as if my turtle neck sweater was getting tighter and tighter and felt like something was constricting my neck!!!

Am I just a noodlebrain post modern or was that an psychonurological manifestation of our existential predicatment???

Hmmm……I think theres something in that for all of us dont you…….
